Flossin’

As my time in Singapore winds down, I’m trying to do things that you can’t do elsewhere.  One thing I’ve never heard of outside of Singapore are “floss buns”.  These little dandies (pictured above) have one of the most revolting descriptions you can imagine: buns filled with “egg cream” and topped off with “pork floss” (roasted pork that is then shaved into an airy nothingness) with a hint of chili (or alternatively wasabi).

So how do they taste?  Fantastic.  I’m going to try and find a place in New York that sells these.  The ones above come from BreadTalk who have chains of incredibly yummy bread all across this island.

Incidentally, if you’re wondering what “flossin” means, click here.
